Day 73, 74 and 75

It has been a bat crap crazy week.
In and out of LDR (will this child just come already?!),
trips out to the inlaws,
and all around nesting.
Day 73
I am oh so round. Seriously, nothing fits.
Day 74
Some of Hubby's old piano books.
He wasn't impressed that the old books were the focus of my picture.
He wanted me to use the newer ones.
Day 75
"So darlin if you're wonderin, why I've got you here tonight

I wanna be your husband, I want you to be my wife
Ain't got much to give you, but what I've got means everything
                                                                         It's my last name"
(My last name, Dierks Bentley)
There are a few things in life,
that I am proud of.
The first being my Husband.
And then a bit farther down the list is his last name.
Not only is it "a gooder" (as he puts it) but it is like royalty
in the town that we live in.
Mention that you are an Evans, and people know who you are.

Day 47

I've gone a little bump crazy.
I don't think it is the best I have done,
but I was in a hurry to see the Canada vs USA game!
(By the way, WE WON!)

Day 43

Yesterday I didn't get home till late
which means I didn't post my picture.
So here it is.
Two bumps on a couch.
We watched the Canada vs USA game.
And yes, I did yell at all of our players...
Next time boys, play like the girls.

Day 42

Today I started to prepare our prefold diapers.
It was a tough and long battle with pots of water and
wait, who are we kidding.
I watched Burn Notice while preparing them.
Now, before you stop reading this
because of some misconception about what green parenting is.
There are many different shades of green
Today's picture
(Great book by the way, "Green Babies, Sage Moms" by Lynda Fassa)
I would like to say that I do want to be a "cloth diapering, babywearing, co-sleeping,
attachment parenting, EC'ing, granola making, organic eating" Mama.
I also thought I would share the pictures I took of diaper prepping.
First picture, two large pots full of boiling water with a squirt of Dawn.
Second picture, the Bummis prefolds.
Third picture, the Bummis boiling in the water.
Currently they are in the washing machine finishing the prep stage.

Day 41

Today we folded and folded and folded (and "ooh'd and aww'd)
all of Sweet Baby Boy's clothes.
While putting them back in his room I decided to take this picture
And since I feel like a giant puffy version of myself,
I decided to take a picture of how I feel when I see myself.

Ah yes, the glorious chipmunk cheeks, how I love them.

Day 25

You never realize how much you miss something
until it is gone.
I want my fire place back.
Also, today is "bump wednesday" on my facebook
so in honour of that...here is today's bump picture
Anyone care to guess how far along we are?

Day 13

It really is beautiful outside, it is one of the only things that I
truly love about winter.

As much as i "love" winter, I can't wait for Spring and Summer.
Mainly because SBB (Sweet Baby Boy) will be here,
and because I won't feel like a beached whale.

Day 3 and day 4

So, yesterday was absolutely nut-bar. We went to the city to do our baby shopping, and needless to say...I over did it.
We bought our stroller (Valco Baby Trimode EX)
we bought our play pen (or play yard...what ever you want to call it)
we bought our baby swing thing
and various other odds and ends...

So while my picture for yesterday has absolutely nothing to do with shopping...it has everything to do with the after math of shopping....

Thats right, a PINK bubble bath. Thanks to Lush's amazing bubble bars. Just what every woman (or man) needs, a soak in a nice relaxing bath.

Today's picture is of my ever growing belly!

Until tomorrow,
Kait

Day 1.

Today is day 1.
Ground zero.
The beginning.
I am starting this as a challenge to myself.
I spend hours and hours reading blogs, and have blogged before and now I am picking up my pencil and starting it again.
I wanted to do something that would combine my love of words and photography together.
A photo a day would be the perfect love child for my newly acquired spare time.
Something to keep me out of trouble, and keep these hands busy.

You see, my darling husband and I are expecting our first child (yep, yet another Mommy blog)
and because of "complications" that started at 22 weeks, I have been put on "almost bed-rest".
By "almost bed-rest" I mean, no more working, no more strenuous activities, you get the picture.

So, without further adieu, here is my first picture.

Baby Butters room.

Until tomorrow.
