I haven't updated in MONTHS!!!

So. Update. Sweet baby boy is here!

Teagan was born April 16th.

I have continued to take a picture everyday

and today I actually edited some of them!

Anyway, I hope to keep this up and finish what I started!

Not only is it "a gooder" (as he puts it) but it is like royalty

I have fallen into my old habit of not posting everyday!

For that, I am sorry!

I got to drive the truck home last night, as hubby drove his sister's mustang home.

I have now washed 99% of the baby items (clothing, blankets...) that we have.

Today was the first time I hung them on the line to dry.

Yesterday was crap-tastic.

My body was angry with me, and I sure paid for it.

Today was much better,

I made bread (and buns), showered, did my hair and make-up, and spent hours

on the computer.

This weekend has been nuts.

Hence, no uploads until today.

Yesterday, Hubby and I went to the inlaws for steak.

It was amazing (as usual).

I took this picture of the horses on the way to the inlaws farm.

It is not their horses (oh how I wish), but the neighbours down the road.

How I love them so.

Today's picture is of a plow that is in a field across the "street" from my inlaws.

It is starting to look like spring!!

Ever since having the Italian Wedding soup

I have been craving meatballs.

So for supper tonight, I made them from scratch!

I am not a fan of meat

but these were amazing.

I found the recipe here

I did a half portion of the recipe (since there are only two of us)

and used oregano instead of italian seasoning and basil instead of parsley.

I also did 1/2 cup of dried parmesan instead 1/4 cup of fresh.

Hubby said it was a lot of parmesan, but I disagree.

Tomorrow is my 21st birthday,

hubby suprised me by taking the day off

and taking me to the city!

We went to my FAVOURITE restaurant,

where I consumed massive quantities of my favourite soup.

Italian wedding soup.

I really should learn how to make it.

We then shared a pizza and went to the movies!

He also got me something I have been begging for!

A new KitchenAide mixer!

Today I started to prepare our prefold diapers.

It was a tough and long battle with pots of water and

wait, who are we kidding.

I watched Burn Notice while preparing them.

Now, before you stop reading this

because of some misconception about what green parenting is.

There are many different shades of green.

I would like to say that I do want to be a "cloth diapering, babywearing, co-sleeping,

Nesting

Feeling the need to prepare for the arrival of the baby by cleaning, organizing, etc. Often happens toward the end of pregnancy.

I think I have started nesting, seriously I washed all of the little mans clothes and blankets today.

I wonder how much longer this phase will last.

I know, for the most part, that everyone thinks that their husband is the best.

But they are wrong.

My husband clearly outshines everyone else's.

My husband is the best

because:

He loves me, clearly this is not an easy task.

I am selfish, unmotivated, lazy, look like a beached whale, and whine...just to name a few.

He washes the dishes, even without me asking him.

He bought me a new hard drive, to store all my pictures so that I wouldn't lose them again.

He reads to the baby, which clearly puts him at number 1.

He's a firefighter, which sometimes drives me nuts.

He is patient with me, and really everybody else.

He is a hard worker, at one point he was working 3 jobs just to pay for my engagement ring

He is mine, this coming May we will have been together for 6 years.

We were off-again-on-again dating that time but always within arms reach.

Funny story, we got home yesterday and my darling hubby was all "lets build a fire!". Since we have a fire place that heats our house for free (cheap? yes) I said "why not". While the fire was burning, a log rolled off (fire faeries I'm sure) and smacked the glass door...Not uncommon. We ignored it and went to bed. This morning rolls around and I come and sit at our computer and glance at the fire place and see that the door is shattered but still in place (does that make sense?) ...perfect photo opportunity.

Seeing the picture kinda makes me wish I had washed the doors more often....

So, yesterday was absolutely nut-bar. We went to the city to do our baby shopping, and needless to say...I over did it.
We bought our stroller (Valco Baby Trimode EX)
we bought our play pen (or play yard...what ever you want to call it)
we bought our baby swing thing
and various other odds and ends...

So while my picture for yesterday has absolutely nothing to do with shopping...it has everything to do with the after math of shopping....

Thats right, a PINK bubble bath. Thanks to Lush's amazing bubble bars. Just what every woman (or man) needs, a soak in a nice relaxing bath.

Today I snapped a picture of the leftover "mother-in-law" plants that currently reside in the half wall between the kitchen and living room...the wall will be coming out shortly...and the plants will not be staying. I do not possess a green thumb, nor do I intend to have one.

Today is day 1.

Ground zero.

The beginning.

I am starting this as a challenge to myself.

I spend hours and hours reading blogs, and have blogged before and now I am picking up my pencil and starting it again.

I wanted to do something that would combine my love of words and photography together.

A photo a day would be the perfect love child for my newly acquired spare time.

Something to keep me out of trouble, and keep these hands busy.

You see, my darling husband and I are expecting our first child (yep, yet another Mommy blog)

and because of "complications" that started at 22 weeks, I have been put on "almost bed-rest".

By "almost bed-rest" I mean, no more working, no more strenuous activities, you get the picture.

So, without further adieu, here is my first picture.
